Job Summary

This entry-level position will be responsible for assisting the export and cross-trade specialists with their daily operations and documentation needs.

This position is full-time m-f, in office only.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Job Specifications

Knowledge

  • 2 years of experience in international logistics.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Duties

  • Executes required documentation for multiple accounts in various stages of completion in a highly time sensitive environment as directed by the Export and Cross-Trade Specialists. .
  • Coordinates pre-shipment instructions and works with service provider(s) on moves. Coordinates cargo shipment orders from point of origin to point of destination to ensure product meets required delivery in the most efficient method, while interacting with customers to keep them informed of progress.
  • Timely management of multiple lines of communication between suppliers, shippers, and internal parties, maintaining details, and relaying pertinent information to appropriate parties.
  • Daily data entry - updating orders with current status and shipment information.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient use of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking.
  • High comfort level of working with the international community.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in general telephone and office etiquette.
  • Ability to perform basic metric and standard math equations.
  • Strong organizational skills including multi-tasking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and maintain customer service skills. People Person!
  • Works well under pressure and with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
