POSITION SCOPE

The Innovation & Commercialization Project Management Intern is responsible for the implementation of key Project Management Continuous Improvement initiatives within Research & Development. Owning select departmental improvement projects, the individual will work within a Global PMO cooperating with external software developers to improve portfolio reporting efficiency, P&L projection accuracy, and optimization of the project portfolio management software. Additionally the Intern will sit on cross-functional New Product Development taskforces developing progress summaries, updating business cases and timelines for product and packaging innovations.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • In the process of obtaining Bachelor's Degreein Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Demonstrable experience managing projects.
  • Keen interest in learning and experiencing product commercialization process.

POSITION STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES AND KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Manage key departmental continuous improvement initiatives for the North America Project Management Office.
  • Creation of efficient reporting processes while annotating accurate project progress summaries and risk mitigation meetings.
  • Working with primary stakeholders and finance to qualify financial health of project porfolios.
  • Reporting accuracy, working with cross-functional parties to track timeline progress and changes to scope.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively maintains all project details in action registers that clearly demonstrate progress, issues and risks.
  • Develops robust project timelines in MS Project.
  • Records risk assessments and project evaluations to ensure continuous improvement to drive executional excellence.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to suggest the Project Portfolio Management software and reporting optimizations.
