Job Description

Clarivate is seeking to hire a dynamic Accountant to join our growing, global Finance team! Partnering with the business, you will be a key contributor to our company's consolidation and financial reporting process. You will provide accounting support with responsibility for preparing and processing journal entries, the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and supporting the month end close process. Collaborating closely with the global finance team, this role requires close coordination, communication, and effective cross-functional relationships.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, relevant field or equivalent work experience

  • 1+ year of corporate accounting experience

It would be great if you also had...

  • Working knowledge of general accounting concepts, monthly close process, financial reporting, and GAAP concepts

  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent time management skills necessary to meet time-sensitive deadlines

What will you be doing in this role?

  • As part of the Consolidation team, your role will include closing the books each month, system improvements, and office automation

  • Working on audit controls as assigned by our external audit team

  • Field accounting and systems questions from other finance professionals

  • Participate in preparing and processing journal entries, the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and supporting the month end close process

  • Responsible for the execution of the Company's internal controls in accordance with its SOX compliance program

  • You will be working with a global company with multiple currency transactions

  • Perform any other special duties, projects or analyses as directed by the Company

About the Team

The Consolidations team consists of three individuals, including two Accountants and a Senior Manager, but will have access and communication with all levels of the company.Our role is global, collaborating with all of our constituents in Finance and Accounting.We will work with all levels of the company, improving our financial reporting, and using our knowledge base to assist where needed.

Hours of Work

  • Regular business hoursMonday-Friday

  • This is a hybrid position working 2 days a week in office in one of our Clarivate offices, preferably Philadelphia, Ann Arbor, or Alexandria.
